How long do results take?
Legionella testing requires laboratory incubation to allow any bacteria present to grow and be identified.
Results are typically issued around 13 days from receipt of the samples at the laboratory and are provided by email as a compliance-ready report.
Is this suitable for all water systems?
This service is suitable for routine monitoring of low-risk water systems. It is not intended for complex or high-risk systems.
Does this replace a Legionella Risk Assessment?
No. This service does not replace a Legionella Risk Assessment. It is intended for routine sampling only.
Who takes responsibility for the sample?
This is a self-sampling service. The customer is responsible for taking the sample in accordance with the provided instructions.
What happens if a result is positive?
If Legionella is detected the laboratory report will confirm the level detected. Your Responsible Person or water hygiene provider can then review the results and determine appropriate control measures.
Are prices inclusive of VAT?
No. All prices exclude VAT. VAT is calculated and added at checkout.
A VAT invoice is provided for all orders.
What happens if the sample is taken incorrectly?
As this is a self-sampling service, Focus On Testing Ltd cannot be responsible for sample quality or handling once the kit has been provided.
